Jesus Christ
True Jesus Church believes that Jesus Christ is the one true God who became human, died on the cross for our sins, rose again on the third day and ascended to heaven, and that He is the only Saviour of all people.
Jesus Christ, the Word who became flesh, died on the cross for the redemption of sinners, resurrected on the third day, and ascended to heaven. He is the only Savior of mankind, the Creator of the heavens and earth, and the only true God.

The first article of faith is about who Jesus is. The Bible teaches that there is only one God, who is Spirit and cannot be seen. True Jesus Church believes that this one God came into the world as a man, Jesus Christ. John’s Gospel says it plainly: “the Word was God”, and “the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us” (John 1:1, 14). Jesus was born of the virgin Mary. He knew hunger, tiredness and sorrow, and He was tempted, yet He never sinned.
Every person has sinned, and no one can remove their own guilt. Jesus, who had no sin, died on the cross in our place. On the third day He rose from the dead, appeared to His disciples, and then ascended to heaven. The Bible says there is “none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
The Bible also speaks of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We understand these as the one God, one Spirit, made known to us for our salvation, not as three separate persons. Jesus said, “I and my Father are one” (John 10:30), and “he that hath seen me hath seen the Father” (John 14:9). This is why we pray in the name of Jesus and baptise in His name.
At True Jesus Church in Bandar Mahkota Cheras, this belief runs through ordinary church life. We begin our prayers in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we kneel when we pray, and our sermons keep returning to the cross, because that is where God’s love for us is clearest. Do you believe in the Trinity?
Not in the sense of three separate persons. We believe there is one God, who is Spirit, and that Jesus Christ is that one true God who came in the flesh. The Bible speaks of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and we understand them as the one God made known to us. This is why the apostles baptised in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38).
Wasn’t Jesus just a good teacher or a prophet?
We believe He is far more than that. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6), and He said He existed before Abraham was born (John 8:58). An ordinary teacher would not say such things. His resurrection from the dead shows that He is God who came to save us.
